French artist Aude Bourgine creates charming embroidered coral sculptures. Aude named this collection as “Lungs of the Ocean”. This collection began in 2014, the long-term venture Lungs of the oceans brings collectively a number of dozen corals assembled by Aude Bourgine from textile and recycled supplies.
These sculptures are the results of meticulous work, near goldsmithing, and characterize the good range of those animals, every work discovering its title within the Latin identify of the species represented. The artist protects these endangered specimens below glass globes, frozen in time, like species preserved in museums or cupboards of curiosities, they’re treasured witnesses to the vulnerability of our nature, our ecosystems. at risk.
